Fall 2013 Collection Launch

With MissMalini

on 15th November, 2013: Marc Cain celebrated the launch of it’s Fall Winter 2013 Collection with MissMalini at the brand’s Flagship store on Nepean Sea Road. Guests were transported to an era of Parisian decadence at the Palais Royale and enchanted with an evening of fashion, music and cocktails.

Strong themes from the collection were the inspiration for the evening. The Palais Royale extended itself as the majestic backdrop for the event. It’s interpretation in the collection reflects the historical essence of the Palais with a combination of austere graphics, consistent modernity and Parisian flair. Black-white, black-cobalt and chilli were a strong statement of this theme.

Guests mingled amongst the European chic clothing, some trying on fabulous outfits from the brand’s new fall line while others posed with Marc Cain winter jackets and accessories at the in store photobooth set up for the night, with the backdrop of the Palais. Malini Agarwal (MissMalini), Lisa Haydon, Shazahn Padamse and Reshma Bombaywala were dressed fashionably in Marc Cain. Other guests included Nishka Lulla, Anjana Sukhani, Monica Dogra, Divya & Aditya Hitkari ,Abhijit Saiprem to name a few.

This season marked the perfection of a brand new look. Natural, sophisticated and punchy materials took centre stage and were combined with a classy sheen. The focus was on silk satin, silk crepe, dependable jersey fabrics, lace, brocade and glossy matelassés, metallic surfaces and lurex, soft fabrics and velvets, furs, soft angora and brushed mohair.

Patterns and print played an essential role in bringing the look together. Inspired by the world‘s most renowned parklands, the collection made use of large photo prints with park motifs, graphically designed swans, theatrical dark flower digital prints and abstract tiger prints. The Sanssouci, Central Park and Palais Royale themes, currently in store, are examples of such inspirations.

To commemorate the launch of Marc Cain’s fall collection, Punit Agarwal, Managing Director, says, “Marc Cain’s fall 2013 collection speaks of quintessential European glamour and it is always such a delight to have fashionable ladies appreciate not only the collection but also the brand. With this evening we hoped for the clothes to speak for themselves and bring out a side of Paris that is not only romantic but also strong.”

The collection was the star setting the stage for a magical evening.
